Gillian Harvey | Visual Identity Creation

Gillian Harvey is Assistant Professor of Visual Communications Design at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Her work focuses on evidence-based information design principles and practices. Her priorities include simplifying complex information in order to make it understandable for a variety of audiences, the importance of audience-based social studies, as well as the development of user-centered design. She currently works on the development of communication materials that assist with health research, with special emphasis on how information design theories and practices can be applied to healthcare for underrepresented populations in view of enhancing social good and justice.
