Selene Huff’s contribution to Dyscorpia offers a commentary on the potential cohesion of fragments that come from organic processes as well as components that have been machined. “Untitled 12” is an attempt to visually articulate the internal struggle that is the process of an organic entity accepting components into itself that are digital or mechanical in origin. “Untitled 12” asks the question of whether these disparate pieces of material can come together to create a single form, and what it means for that form to be whole.
