light touch
Liz Ingram and Bernd Hildebrant’s Light Touch is an exploration of the body that combines photographic images with CT, MRI, and PET scans. The photographic images have been manipulated with computer software to reveal added information below the skin. Through layering, juxtaposing, and combining scans and/or photographic images of the body, the artists are posing questions about how we see ourselves today. What does an image reveal? What does looking reveal? Can using the term “self-portrait” lead to further understanding?
